Itinerary: Espitau Vielha - Rius - Colhada port of Mar- Lac was Restanca .

It's a long stage Aigüestortes National Park. Its duration is about 7 hours and really if you treat people who are used to walking, not overly difficult. When you reach the finish line in the shelter of the Restanca , if desired , you can spend the night there.

To access the beginning of the stage we do through the Pont de Suert and follow the road to the south beginning Vielha Tunnel . It is recommended to do it in the hottest months (July and August ) .

We start Vielha Espitau through GR -11 road that rises slowly to reach Conangles Bosc is a beautiful forest of beech and fir . These trees are some hard-hit by the harsh climate and observed many traces of lightning in a storm being an area which must be respect.

From the forest we found a track and continue until you reach the river. We crossed . and continue the road , always on the right side while we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the forest. As we reach the height of 1900 meters, the climb is harder to reach the peg Redó found in the 2180m . Continue to the right until the Port de Rius where we can discern in the distance the majestic Aneto. After the beautiful lac accede Riuseste whose water is connected by a gallery inside to the lac de Mar. From there we set aside the GR path that reaches the Restanca and we continue along a beautiful path along the Tort de Rius on the north side . This trail leads to the Lac de Mar Colhada (2,520 m ) , the incredibly beautiful Catalan Pyrenees where the view presented before our eyes is totally spectacular . The stany is immense , even has an island inside. Said stany bordered the right bank , between granitic rocks and walls until after a sudden drop , we arrive at the Restanca peg.

It is a beautiful ride on the National Park Aigüestortes that lasts about two hours and 15 minutes. It is considered a medium difficulty, through a path well drawn and with a vertical drop of 350m to tackle ( 1780-2130 ) . It is advisable to carry it out in the warmer months (May to October ) of the Lleida Pyrenees.

The starting point of this stage is parking near the dam of Cavallers . To access this point we do from the village of Boi . From there take the road of Caldes ( L -500 ) that will take us to the parking lot .

The path that we will follow is a path that moves the cattle grazing in the Aran Valley and is the path to follow these animals to pass through the port of Caldes . Our steps bordering the reservoir Cavallers , original reservoir nestled in granite walls . Here the vegetation is limited to small clusters of trees. The origin of this striking landscape was the former existence of a glacier and its erosive action .

Once we are in the tail of the reservoir , will begin a slight rise that will lead us to Planell Riumalo which is a spacious place famous among other things for being home to groundhogs , animals not only typical Catalan Pyrenees but all of these . Once located in the Planell , if you look to the left can admire the valley of Malavesina which marks the direction to raise the bulk of Balmes .

Then it goes through a rocky , full rounded by erosion surfaces where water is the highest art. This special place is called the Llastres of Morta , which contains the legend denomonación the death of a woman at that site.

Finally through a winding road we reach the goal of the route. This is the peg Negre , mysterious estany whose waters are dark and where clearly rebel glacial característas . This peg is next door routes such as the route of ascent Montardo Colieto or the valley . It can also be a source point to aim at the lakes that are situated at the foot of Travesany .

It is a route that has a first part to the Coll de Fogueruix of little difficulty. From there this difficulty acrescienta since apart from the climb , fatigue for a relatively long stroke is noted . It should do this itinerary in the warmer months from July to October and the duration is estimated at 2 hours , 15 minutes. Something very important to keep in mind is to be provided with plenty of water as the road passes through the sun.

Part refuge path Pla de la Font which you access by a very nice way by which we can follow the evolution of the types of vegetation that can be given according to the height at which it is . Thus, enjoy different botanical environments as pine and spruce and deciduous leaf forests . At the top we find places where we see only rocks with grasses that blend together. This access path starts from spot or if you prefer we can start it in Esterry d'Anheu and Son , following a trail that leads to the refuge .

Once you reach the shelter Pla de la Font headed south for a way up through pastures until Fogueroix Coll is a small hill which lies between the river valley and the valley Written Son. It is an asymmetric pass over the slopes since the north is very smooth while the other south-facing slope has a slope of 700 meters above the valley. Once you are on that hill , continue the road through one of the trails we see on the right. Arrive at the Plana d' Aires , broad plain where we can take a break then off to face the rise of the hill called " Thousand Colts " place where you can see all types of birds of prey like the eagle Real or vulture .

From the hill " Mil Colts " continue the journey across various hills to reach Pinetó pic . Once at the summit we will enjoy a panoramic view of the most beautiful in the Catalan Pyrenees where you can spot graciares valleys and cirques on the slopes of the White Rock Teso and Son .

It Gerdar Forest Trail ( parking Callau ) -Plans for Callau Breviari - parking . It is a journey lasting approximately 3 hours with low difficulty areas and areas of medium difficulty as there are steep paths .

To reach the parking Callau Aigüestortes National Park have to start from Esterry d'Anheu and take the C - 28 with the deviation that goes to forest Gerdal . Once in the car park , find a track ascending why cars can not pass . This track skirts the ravine Cabanes . Over time , the track becomes a path that goes through the woods .

We arrived about pastures that stand out among the fir trees, are the so-called Costa Solana. In this area you can see ruins of old stone barns where livestock lived . From there you can see the buttresses of the Boniagua Pui in which warn the geological nature of these with contrasting limestone and granite . One time we went to pasture , Cabanes climbed the ravine and crossed through an area called the Ford of Cabanes . It is rare to find in this area deer drinking at the stream . Follow the path to the right leaving a trail that goes to stany of Cabanes and down to around are also grassland plains , the plains of Breviari . In the surroundings you can find deciduous trees like birch leaf .

From that point begins a sharp descent through the forest of the Mata. This forest is the most extensive fir the southern slopes of the Catalan Pyrenees not only in general but all the Pyrenees. We'll get back to the ravine , we will come and we will find the car park , starting point of the route.

This is a long route Aigüestortes National Park is divided into three days. Presents a difficulty which requires a high level of experience for whom undertake. It is recommended to make the trip from June to October . Along the way you pass through different valleys Written Valley starting up the Boi Valley . The entire route runs within a beautiful landscape with numerous calls Cabebdella Stanys .

We started the first day of Espot leaving town , beautiful village with its typical house in the Pyrenees of Lleida. Then follow the GR until we find the road that leads to the ski slopes , we continue this road until we enter the Vall de Paguera. From there , our steps are directed by the left of the ravine. When you get to the dam of Lladres we take the track that goes to the stany Tort of Paguera. Then we head to the shelter of Jose M. Blanc , having first enjoyed the beautiful view it offers contemplation Peguera cascade shown the visitor with all its beauty in his jumps stepped in lush pine forests.

The second day starts from the previously described retreat . We continue our journey along the Black Estany is an original round lake surrounded by majestic granite massifs including Mainera peaks , Saburó and Peguera , almost all heights above 3000 meters. Then we continued down to the stany de Mar. Our road skirts it , so does the Colomina and thus arrived at the shelter of the same name that is in a very beautiful location , in the basin of Flamicell . This refuge is the starting point for most routes .

The third and final day we started down the path until you reach the ravine Outgoing, from that ravine we get back to a place called Collada Fontsubirana . Then pass through the peg Tapat and from there we will head to a ravine to the Port of Rus, spectacular place because from there you can make out the two highest peaks of the Pyrenees and the Pyrenees in general.
